LSCS Officer Assembly 2025: Kicking Off the Ruby Year

Short Activity Report

The La Salle Computer Society conducted its annual Officers’ Assembly last October 4, 2025, to officially welcome its new set of officers and mark the beginning of their Ruby Year.

More than just your typical assembly, Lui, the current Executive Vice President for Internals, designed this year’s assembly to be more fun and interactive without losing the nature of the event itself.

One of her main goals was to help the officers build relationships and form bonds between each other. She believed that short and interactive activities, like Kahoot, could help transform what would have been the usual assembly into an enjoyable and engaging event.

For Lui, success is defined not by numbers, but by a feeling: the sense of collaboration and camaraderie built through shared laughter and genuine connection. Lui shared, “The event was successful not because of any quantitative measure, but because I could see how homey and welcome all the officers felt.”

Her new approach not only increased participation, but also encouraged building connections between the officers, especially those new to the organization.

She shared how the officers were attentive and showed genuine interest in understanding their respective roles within the organization. For new officers, it provided an introduction to each division’s duty and responsibility. While for returning officers, it served as a reminder of their role and obligations.

Ultimately, the event itself was a success.

This year’s Officers’ Assembly was more than just your typical assembly; it laid the foundations for the community and set the tone for a productive and meaningful year ahead.
